Monty Hall

Description

My goal is to use this page and its links to present information regarding a variety of statistical topics from courses I am teaching.  To begin, I have an illustration of a probability issue known as the Monty Hall phenomenon.  For older readers, it answers the question of whether contestants on "Let's Make a Deal" should have stayed with their door, or switched doors when given the chance.

In time, I will try to add material on epidemiological measures of effect, as well as material discussing a geometric interpretation of multivariate statistics--I think that eigenvalues and eigenvectors are best understood geometrically.
