I am an Associate Professor of Education and Applied Quantitative Methods
in the College of Education and Human Development,
with a joint appointment in Maine's University Center of Excellence in Developmental
Disabilities. I also serve as an informatics consultant for the
Early Hearing Detection and
Intervention Program in the
National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities within
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
I also am involved in projects with colleagues in the
Department of Epidemiology and
Public Health within the
University of Miami School of Medicine and the
University of Miami
School of Nursing and Health Studies.
My primary research interests are in Developmental Epidemiology
and Biobehavioral Informatics. These focus on educational
outcomes and developmental disabilities in children. I have additional
more broad-based interests
in life-span health and development, particularly in ethnic minority
populations. Common to all of this work is a strong
interest in Quantitative Methods.
I should note that I have a fairly elaborate web-site. Reflecting this,
links and buttons in my web-site referring to "home" point to this, my
"home" page.
